Everyone is familiar with the Mozart quartets for flute, violin, viola, and cello, but what about other composers? Did anyone else write for this beautiful combination of instruments? We explore the Flute Quartet in the second half of the 18th century through works by Johann Christian Bach, Ernst Eichner and of course, the beloved Mozart. Short duets will serve as a palate cleanser between the quartet courses.
